ジェイミ・ハンフリーズ Jaime Humphreys
The artist works with a wide range of materials to create installations exploring specific spaces and surfaces through the drawing of lines.
He leads an ongoing art workshop for children at Momoshi Elementary School in Zempukuji, and is involved in a number of community projects.
池田 哲 Satoshi Ikeda
After finishing his postgraduate studies in music, Ikeda based himself in the UK to create compositions and perform musical work. Having doubts about the relationship between society and avante garde music, since returning to Japan his activities came to a halt. Still without a resolution to these doubts, he has commenced making work again in recent years. While utilizing methodology from the perspective of microtone, timbre, spectra, and extended technique, he is searching for new methods of expression.

Chalk Line Project
Inspired by aerial photos commemorating the school foundation day (teachers and children participate in an aerial photo), the children of Momoshi will collaborate to make a video in the school playground. This video, which will include a soundtrack made through a collaboration between musician Satoshi Ikeda and the children, will be shown at the Momoshi West gate on the days below. As Momoshi Elementary School draws near to its eightieth birthday in 2012, it is hoped this project will in turn inspire new forms of creativity.
