Participating artists, Momoi Daishi elementary school students, and the community together put a lot of effort to create works. The works are exhibited as installations. The tie between the community and the artists are getting stronger every year.

ディスロケイト / dislocate
Date:
Every weekend of October and November
Place:
Shinmachi Shotengai, Yuyu Zempukuji kan
The attractiveness of the town you live in and the possibility to change it's environment are often overlooked in everyday life. Things in front of you are thought as trivial as we repeat everyday routines. It is difficult to notice the attractiveness of things. In this workshop, you will be connected with people from different generations or countries. Through intergenerational exchange, cross-cultural exchange, and international exchange and creativity, we will look at the town with whole new perspectives.
We`ll re-imagine the place you are familiar with, and in the end, we`ll reflect on things we come to see with new perspectives. This tendency to replace will probably expand more and more. -
[MOTOKOTOBA] Making a statement! Momoi Yonsho Workshop & Exhibition
星 素子 / Motoko Hoshi
A theme is given to the fifth graders of Momoi Yonsho. They create their own "Motokotoba", as well as "Motokotoba" for Momoi Yonsho. This is a workshop which expresses images and worldviews with students using their brains, minds and bodies, vertically, horizontally, and diagonally. I hope it will become an encouraging statement for hopeful young children. I would be delighted if this workshop will help them expand their imagination and create new perspectives.
※This workshop will be combined and exhibited together with "Sora wa Ana kanmuri" (a device to look at the sky). -

School Backpack Art in Momoi Daishi elementary school 2012
村山修二郎 / shujiro murayama
Work at Momoi Daishi elementary school in Oct. 2012
Performance
Nov. 2012
Children's commute during the session
Same as 2011, this is a project in which Momoi Daishi elementary students draw pictures on their school backpack covers and exhibit them when they commute to school during the session of Troll's Mori. Having art work on their back means having a fun in their everyday lives and I believe that the neighbors and parents of the children will be able to see what children see, feel, and think from the artworks they draw. I would also like to set the theme on nature around us and hope to bring about awareness how nature and art culture exist and how rich they are in our every day lives. -
