《Welcome to Motherland》

善福寺公園でのインスタレーションと関連したSatoshi Ikedaとの共同制作によるパフォーマンス。このパフォーマンスは、固定された物語ではなく、インスタレーションの彫刻作品から派生した視覚的素材を空間全体に投影し、操作することによって、建築、光、音、記憶、そして儀式を、流動的で不安定な体験として探求するものとなる。

A performance created in collaboration with Satoshi Ikeda, related to the installation at Zempukuji Park. Rather than following a fixed narrative, this performance explores architecture, light, sound, memory, and ritual as a shifting, unstable experience through the projection and manipulation of visual material derived from the installation’s sculptures throughout the entire space.

日本を拠点に活動するイギリスのアーティスト。絵画、インスタレーション、パフォーマンス、そして芸術的リサーチといった手法を用い、場所、記憶、建築、参加といったテーマを探求する学際的な制作活動を行っている。

Samuel Stocker is a British artist based in Japan whose interdisciplinary practice explores place, memory, architecture, and participation through painting, installation, performance, and artistic research.

池田 哲/Satoshi Ikeda ：1975年東京生まれ。2003年、Middlesex大学Sonic Arts修士課程修了。20代で渡英し、ダンカン・ドルースに作曲を師事。微分音や特殊奏法を用いた作品のほか、近年はポスト・ケージ的な試みとして、言語と音響が交錯する即興パフォーマンスを制作・発表している。
