《そこを抜ければ》Once You Pass Through

公園の木立に、ふと障子が現れる。岐阜県加子母の空き家から出た解体材で建具を組み、屋外に「室内」を仮設した。障子越しの木漏れ日は畳に落ちる午後の光に見え、足元の小道は廊下のように続く。ここは外か、内か。見慣れた風景が誰かの家の記憶に重なる、その一瞬の空目と空耳のためのインフォメーションセンター。

Shoji screens suddenly appear among the trees in the park. Assembling architectural fittings using materials salvaged from an abandoned house in Kashimo in Gifu Prefecture, an “interior” has been temporarily installed outdoors. The sunlight filtering through the shoji screens resembles the afternoon light falling onto a tatami mat, while the path underfoot extends like a hallway. Is this outside, or inside? An information center dedicated to those fleeting moments of illusory sights and imagined sounds, when a familiar landscape overlaps with the memory of someone’s home.

建築、まちづくりに取り組む山本と、医学の研究を行う川本からなる異色のユニット。普段は日米をオンラインでつなぎ活動している。動物や自然の営みに着想を得ながら、人と自然の関わり方を問いかける作品などを制作。六甲ミーツ・アート2023、トロールの森2024、2025などに出展。
