《重力に抗う》Against Gravity

素材：角材・無垢フローリング材・金物使用

生きとし生けるものは、重力に抗って生きている。ただし、日常生活の中でそれを意識することは少ない。
クヌギ広場に、気になるサクラの木がある。地中に広く根を張り、重力に抗って水平に幹を伸ばす様相は、建築でいうキャンティレバー（片持ち梁）構造そのものである。
この計画は、その木の生命力や浮遊感をより体感するためのフレームであり、その水平線の先に垂直に伸びるクヌギの森との対比を感じる場所でもある。
キャンティレバー構造で作られた覆いの下で、自然の分身としての自分を見つめる舞台である。

All living things live while resisting gravity. However, we are rarely aware of this in our daily lives. In Kunugi Square, there is a curious cherry tree. Its roots extend widely underground, and the way its trunk extends horizontally against gravity resembles a cantilever structure in architecture.

This work serves as a frame designed to help visitors experience the tree’s vitality and sense of suspension more directly, while also providing a space to feel the contrast between the vertically growing Kunugi forest visible against the horizon line beyond.

The area beneath the cantilever structure becomes a stage for self-reflection as an embodiment of nature.
