Wool Vessel (Keki) — Jomon Pottery with a Face and Light
Workshop:
Let’s make it from recycled material! “Jomon Pottery with a Face and Light”
Materials: Recycled plastic, used clothing, and other discarded materials
A Jomon-period archaeological site near Nishi-Ogikubo Station yielded an Important Cultural Property; a pottery vessel with a face and an opening for light. Inspired by this ancient vessel, I created a large, face-bearing Keki (wool vessel) using discarded materials such as used clothing. Participants in the workshop will also create their own Keki, place lights inside, and use them to create a space encouraging reflection on the ancient past and the present.

Profile
