《パレイドリア 》 Pareidolia

パレイドリア現象とは、月のクレーターがうさぎや女性の横顔に見えるように、偶然できた模様が何か意味のある形に見える現象です。
柱に描かれただまし絵をよく見るとまた別の絵が見えてくる。そんな二重のトリックを含んだ作品です。

Pareidolia is the phenomenon where a pattern formed by chance appears to be a meaningful shape—much like how craters on the moon can look like a rabbit or a woman’s profile.
This artwork incorporates a dual trick: if you look closely at the *trompe-l’œil* image painted on the pillar, a different picture reveals itself.
