《ネオテニーの森》My Forest of Neoteny

「ネオテニー」とは生物学の言葉で「幼形成熟」という意味である。私は自分が子供な部分を残したまま大人になってしまったようだ、と感じることがあり、そしてしばしば大人の世界は不条理であふれているとも感じる。そんなネオテニーな自分にとっての理想の世界の一部を彫刻として表現したのがこの作品です。

“Neoteny” is a biological term meaning “retention of juvenile characteristics in adulthood.” I sometimes feel that I have grown into an adult while retaining aspects of my childhood self, and I often find the adult world to be filled with absurdities. This piece expresses, through sculpture, a part of the ideal world for a neotenous person like me.

1986年東京都生まれ。多摩美術大学卒業。
2022年に制作活動を開始。「動物の擬態」や「ネオテニーの森」という作者の妄想から生まれた「理想の世界」を題材にした彫刻や絵画を制作している。2024年第108回二科展 彫刻部　特選受賞。

1986: Born in Tokyo; graduated from Tama Art University.
2022: Began creating artworks, focusing on sculptures and paintings that depict an “ideal world” inspired by themes of “animal mimicry” and “forest of neoteny.”
2024: Received the Special Selection Award in the Sculpture Division at the 108th Nikaten Exhibition.
