《こくり》Kokuri

かつて本州に広く生息していたニホンオオカミは、ある時期を境に、この世からいなくなってしまった。彼らの居場所は一体どこにあったのだろう。あるいは、どこにあればよかったのか。絶滅したオオカミたちの不在を通して、人間という存在そのものに抵抗しながら、人として生きることについて再考する。

The Japanese wolf, once widely inhabiting Honshu, disappeared from this world after a certain point in history. Where exactly was their place of belonging? Or rather, where should they have belonged? Through the absence of these extinct creatures, this work resists the very existence of humanity and invites reflection on what it means to live as a human.

■プロフィール／Profile
多摩美術大学版画専攻卒業。社会的身体からの脱却、種の共存、変容、不在、これらのテーマを軸に、記録と記憶とのあいだを往来しながら制作に取り組んでいる。無意識的に浮かんできた一場面や、時折みる幻から、イメージを展開させていくことが多い。
